The iconic luxury hotel is located on Avenue Kleber in the 16th arrondissement, the area in Paris that is all about the most exquisite things in life. Within walking distance lies The Golden Triangle, which is bordered by the Avenues Montaigne, Georges V and the Champs-Elysées, famous for its luxury boutiques and high-end restaurants. And it’s not just the area that impresses, but of course the property itself. Often referred to as the Little Versailles, the Peninsula Paris is housed in a legendary, centuries-old heritage-listed building. Built in 1864 by art collector Alexander Basilewski, the building has witnessed many historical events, including George Gershwin composing his play An American in Paris as well as the signing of the Paris Peace Accords by Henry Kissinger in 1973.

After extensive renovations, the Peninsula Paris opened on this site in 2014 and is now home to sleek 200 rooms, including 93 suites, six restaurants and a spectacular spa. Characteristic for the original Peninsula aesthetic, the interior consists of dark lacquered wood, soothing beige and gray tones, as well as decorative elements that reference the flagship hotel in Hong Kong, such as the headboards with fan patterns. Highlights include special suites that span two stories and give residents access to a private rooftop terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Beyond that, it’s not just the well-designed rooms where guests can indulge themselves. The culinary offer is just as diverse as Paris: The Lobby restaurant serves French and international cuisine and is as an idyllic spot for traditional afternoon tea; LiLi, the Cantonese eatery styled after French and Chinese operas or the L’Oiseau Blanc, a rooftop restaurant and bar that offers modern gastronomy.

Just outside the hotel is waiting a fleet of modern and vintage cars including the latest BMWs or MINIs as well as classic Rolls Royce — all in dark green, Peninsula’s signature color. These are made available to guests for transportation if needed.
