The name already reveals the theme of the collection: Offspring is especially characterized by the two interlocking forms, a larger one is embracing a smaller one, almost protecting it. In this way the collection tells a story of the boundless strength of love and mutual protection. The pieces of jewelry are inspired by the unique bond between mother and child. However, depending on the wearer and personal history, they can describe very different relationships – such as between siblings or partners.
Jacqueline Rabun’s emotional and symbolic pieces of jewelry are of timeless elegance and can therefore also celebrate family ties by passing the jewelry from generation to generation. Genuine pieces of jewelry are something timeless and exist for a long time, if not forever. Especially the theme of the connection between two people (or even several people) could not be more suitable for Christmas.
The golden line of the offspring collection is a personal gift recommendation and one of my favorite collections by GEORG JENSEN.
GENUINE PIECES OF JEWELRY
“The natural shapes and curves of the body are essential to everything I design. It is important that each piece compliments the human form and becomes an extension of the body and spirit of the wearer, like a talisman providing strength, confidence and protection.”
― Jacqueline Rabun
NATURAL SHAPES
This photo shows two offspring collection pieces artfully intertwined. The bangle is made of 18 carat yellow gold. At the lower end of the organic shaped bangle, the gold ring with diamonds has been placed.
This poetic assortment of modern jewelry has been expanded with appealing new gold designs. The timeless collection of beautifully designed, symbolic rings, bracelets, and necklaces is available in elegant 18-carat yellow gold.
Jacqueline Rabun launched her debut collection in 1990 – a series of hand-sculptured organic forms. An illustration of the human experience through the medium of jewelry, which gained her instant recognition among collectors of contemporary art and design. Since then, fluid conceptual forms and a poetic take on design have become the signature look of Rabun. These elements can also be found in her work for GEORG JENSEN.
Rabun started a long-term partnership with the Danish jewelry house in 1999 focusing on interpreting Scandinavian design. Ever since, her creations have been exhibited at Staten Museum for Kunst at the “Georg Jensen’s 100 Years” show in 2004 and at Koldinghus Museum at “Georg Jensen: A Tale of Danish Silver” in 2015. Rabun’s design language makes her creations so unique and renowned. Her concept carries her passion for organic and architectural forms as well as noble materials. Pieces which are not merely design objects but rather wearable works of art, always connected with a story.
